Elite Enemies are tougher opponents that you need to defeat in the overworld. It is part of a Formidable Foe Challenge. You can also find them in places like the Cavern of Corrosions and the Simulated Universe. These enemies have higher health, deal more damage, and are generally tougher to defeat. They are generally able to perform two actions per turn instead of one. Elite Enemies are usually located in specific areas and drop better rewards, like high-quality gear and upgrade materials. Defeating them not only helps you level up your characters but also moves the story forward. Taking on these tougher foes is essential if you want to improve your skills and build a stronger team.
3. Boss
Bosses are powerful enemies that serve as significant challenges for players of Honkai: Star Rail. Unlike regular foes, Bosses typically have much higher Toughness, devastating attack patterns, and unique abilities. Most boss-type enemies are fought in two phases, but some bosses may be different. They usually appear at specific intervals in Trailblaze Missions, Trailblaze Continuances, the Simulated/Divergent Universe, and Forgotten Hall. Defeating a Boss rewards players with valuable items, including materials needed to upgrade Trace skills and Relics.
4. Echoes of War
Echoes of War are challenges that unlock after completing certain Trailblaze or Trailblaze Continuance Missions. They are similar to Boss Enemies, featuring powerful attacks and multiple phases, typically two or three. Players can take on Echoes of War up to three times a week, and you can challenge the same Echo multiple times. Defeating them rewards players generously, including Trailblaze Trace materials. That is required to unlock Bonus Abilities and upgrade level 8 and higher Traces. You also gain other rewards, like Relics, Lucent Afterglow, and free 4-star Light Cones, and so on.
